# Transmitters Transmitter (TX) / Receiver (RX) — receives image and transmits it (usually DIT receives from set and transmits to video assist). ## Range * **Small units** (Eagles and Nanos): about 200m * **Large setups** (8-ways, DC Pros, large antennas, etc.): about 1/2 km ## Standard package Unless specifically told differently, a single transmitter package should include: * 1 × TX package * 1 × RX package * 1 × DC Pro package (**unless** they have an HHRX) 1 × DC Pro package includes **4 downconverters** — so if you have 2 × TX and 2 × RX, you still only need 1 × DC Pro package. ## OFCOM / frequency licences When quoting for an OFCOM transmitter package you **must** use our special [Transmitter Standard Quote – Stationary](https://cineark.current-rms.com/opportunities/13018/print_document?document_id=1000100) (**this does not include Teradeks**). This tells production they must purchase the frequencies required to use the transmitters: > PLEASE NOTE: When hiring long range transmitters for use in the UK, frequency licences need to be purchased for each transmitter. This can be done through the Ofcom website for UK in advance of shoot days. Please check locally if outside the UK.
