VFX Data Wrangler Package

PURPOSE

The role of the VFX Data wrangler is to collect as much information as possible on a shot-by-shot basis. Such information includes:

  • Still photos, also known as SET REF, or REF

  • Camera data, to be logged onto the VFX Database in FileMaker Pro

  • Footage of the action (Witness Cameras)

  • Shooting stills of props, set builds, landscapes (Texture, photogrammetry, panorama/Roundshot)

  • Shooting HDRI for lighting reference

  • Chrome/grey balls & color chart

COMPONENTS

Each package can vary based on show requirements – below is a standard kit:

For SET REF only:

  • Ref camera: Canon 5D mk IV (or similar)

  • Lens: can vary one or two zoom lenses such as 17-40mm, 24-105mm

  • Camera accessories: memory card, battery, battery charger, card reader

For FULL DATA WRANGLER KIT:

Set ref kit +

  • IPad with Filemaker Pro

  • Disto laser measurer

  • HDRI Kit

  • Chrome/Grey ball + colour chart

  • Laptop
